The Obama administration is full of roundtables. We have anti-trust roundtables, dairy roundtables and now the U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced “roundtables on jobs, economic growth.” Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack said the President has asked all federal agencies to “generate ideas to create jobs and economic opportunities.”
So roundtables will be hosted by USDA Rural Development state directors and Farm Service Agency state directors. The first forums will be in Michigan (Dec. 17), New Mexico (Dec. 17), New Mexico and Montana (Dec. 18) and Arizona, Pennsylvania and North Carolina (Dec. 21). The USDA press release doesn’t say exactly when or where there forums will sprout, so the best advice we have is to keep your eyes open. There’s a forum near you!! Also, if you attend one of these forums, let us know what happens. We’ll report it here.
