National Public Radio reported yesterday that Hillary Clinton’s campaign failed to leave a tip after eating a meal at a restaurant in Toledo, Iowa. The story made the rounds and got everybody excited.

Actually, the campaign left a $100 tip on a $157 bill, the New York Times reported today. The Times interviewed the waitress at the Maid-Rite, Anita Esterday, who had the best media commentary of the decade.

“You people are really nuts,” Esterday said. “There’s kids dying in the war, the price of oil right now — there’s better things in this world to be thinking about than who served Hillary Clinton at Maid-Rite and who got a tip and who didn’t get a tip.”
