Finally, a movie by Indians about Indians! The entire cast and crew of the short film, Night Wanderer,(above) is American Indian. Written and directed by Gloria Stonechild, a Media Arts Program major, and shot and edited by Adam Sings in the Timber, Night Wanderer is a project of the Indigenous Filmmakers Club at the University of Montana in Missoula. Check it out here.

The Indigenous Filmmakers Club is a student network for University of Montana filmmakers and students to collaborate and share film projects as well as organize screenings for public viewing. Members of the Club were invited to attend the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Native American Studies professor Angelica Lawson who also teaches a class called Native Americans and Film originally conceived the group and idea. Sings in the Timber is president of the Club. The film was shot near Frenchtown, Montana, and was the first non-journalism film for Sings in the Timber.
