Covid-19 deaths decreased in rural and urban areas last week while infection rates remained about the same, according to a Daily Yonder analysis. The rate of deaths was 29% higher this week in rural areas compared to metropolitan ones. The weekly rural death rate has been higher than the urban rate for seven consecutive weeks.
